The word doing the work is 'culture', and a response that never defines it will drift. Strong answers pin it to something observable — how decisions get made, how newcomers learn norms, how disagreement surfaces — and then argue about those rather than about atmosphere. The best counter-argument to either side is that remote work exposes weak culture rather than causing it, and a response that anticipates this is markedly stronger. Personal experience is admissible here and often the most convincing material, provided it is used as evidence rather than as the whole argument.
