A personal interview question. Answer as you would in the room, in writing.
Describe a time you had to work closely with someone you found difficult. Give the context, what you did, the result, and what it changed about how you work.

The question is about the candidate, not the other person, and an answer that spends its length on how unreasonable the colleague was has already failed. Strong answers describe the difficulty specifically and neutrally, then show a deliberate attempt to understand its source — different incentives, different information, pressure from elsewhere. The action should be something the candidate actually chose to do differently. The best reflections acknowledge a share of the friction without performing false humility.
